Often include organic acids like acetic, peracetic, lactic, formic, and propionic acids. These are non-toxic, biologically active, and effective at neutralizing and removing residues of alkaline detergents. Acid-based disinfectants combat bacteria, fungi, and viruses. - Hydrogen Peroxide-Based Solutions:
Widely used in the food industry for disinfecting equipment and packaging. Concentrations range from 3% to 90%. At 6%, hydrogen peroxide exhibits strong bactericidal properties, while concentrations of 10-30% can eliminate spore-forming bacteria.
